PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Our customer is a large e-commerce project that offers you the opportunity to innovate and experiment with new technologies at scale. You’ll be part of a team with talented and forward-thinking people who are busy creating a world-class product while having fun doing it.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

  • Analyzing, logging, tracking, and solving software issues related to servers and applications used in business environments
  • Installing and configuring systems and environments
  • Researching and recommending innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks
  • Maintaining and patching installations for the Manhattan servers
  • Monitoring and optimizing AWS cloud costs
  • Bug fixing

TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:

  • Experience with cloud systems – AWS
  • Experience with infrastructure as code
  • Linux platform
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies
  • Proficient in at least 1 programming/scripting language – Bash/Shell or Python
  • Familiar with Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration technologies
  • Familiar with monitoring (New Relic/Sensu/Graphite) and log management systems (Splunk/ELK)

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Excellent English
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Results-driven
  • Proactive attitude in solving both technical and business issues
  • Transparent attitude: able to speak out if there are issues, or the task is not clear enough, or assistance is needed

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Docker knowledge
  • Working experience with Manhattan WMS, Github, Jenkins, Atlantis, Terraform
  • University degree in Computer Science/Engineering
