THE ROLE INVOLVES:
Our partner is expanding across the globe, seeking various levels of experience for their JavaScript Angular chapter.
In this position, you'll be able to take part in multiple teams based on your background and expertise, supporting their global organization building flows & front-ends based on existing API's.
Examples of projects you could take part in:
- Creating the global client portal which clients use daily to insert their payment instructions, settlement instructions and much more. This portal is used by over 400 corporate clients across the globe, creating a challenging and interesting environment to thrive in.
- Creating the internal & external frontends for their SBL & Treasury department, which both internal and external clients can use to interface with the existing back-end infrastructure.
- Create the internal frontends for the Global Trade Capture team, enabling them to monitor all the incoming trades and connection health (important note: we process over 6.000.000.000 trades a year, so this is an important task to do!)

This job description is set-up slightly more generic on purpose, so you'll be able to see what various teams are doing and find a good fit based on your experience and preferences.
Within the role of JavaScript Angular Developer, we do appreciate some familiarity with DevOps concepts (we do not expect you to be able to set-up your own CI/CD pipeline but be able to use existing pipelines to deploy your code for example using tools like Jenkins).
Responsibilities:
- Write clean and maintainable Angular and Typescript code for various projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like back-end developers and product managers to implement feature enhancements.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and functionality of the code produced by peers.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues promptly to maintain operational effectiveness.
- Test code rigorously and update existing test cases to ensure robustness.
- Document code, procedures and project milestones to maintain organizational transparency.
- Assist in setting project milestones and meet deadlines.
TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:
5+ years of software development experience with Angular- Relevant experience in developing back-end APIs with TypeScript
- Experience working with source control tools like GIT
- Experience in developing unit tests for the code you write (test-based development)
- Experience with database management like PostgreSQL or Oracle
- Familiarity with Kafka
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker
NICE TO HAVE:
- Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
- A demonstrated record of achievement in large technical (migration) projects
- Ability to keep up with software and cloud development trends and innovation
- Understanding of financial services and risk management in general
- University degree in Computer Science/Engineering
SOFT SKILLS:
- Fluent English, with good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong engineering instinct (do the right thing), a deep understanding of computer science
