THE ROLE INVOLVES:
Our partner’s Reconciliation and Control team is looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join.
In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring their applications function flawlessly and uphold the high standards of quality their team is known for.
As ABN AMRO Clearing is still developing its test strategy and test management tooling, we expect you to be able to help them on this journey by giving advice on how to automate the scripts you're creating. So, an ideal moment to join the company on this journey!
Responsibilities:
- Manual test the applications based on the requirements.
- Help Automate the test scripts you're writing either using a self-made application or by giving advice on the implementation of a test management tool in collaboration with their Development Services team.
- Create clear and concise test reports (or automate them if possible) to help stakeholders easily understand the accuracy of the produced results.
- Assist in setting project milestones and meet deadlines.
TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:
- 3+ years of relevant experience as a Test Engineer
- 3+ years of relevant experience with either TypeScript, Python or Java
- Experience in automating existing and/or new test scripts
- Experience in using version management / repository tools like Git
- Experience in creating automated tests for screens using tools like Selenium (important nice to have, willingness to learn is appreciated)
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with Mendix
- Awareness of critical Agile concepts and principles
- A demonstrated record of achievement in large technical (migration) projects
- Ability to keep up with software and cloud development trends and innovation
- Understanding of financial services and risk management in general
- Relevant Bachelor's/ Master's Degree
SOFT SKILLS:
- Fluent English, with good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong engineering instinct (do the right thing), a deep understanding of computer science
- Strong interpersonal and assertive communication skills, great team member
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Desire to continuously learn and improve in a complex, rapidly evolving environment
