PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Our customer is a world-leading retail company.
The team that you will be part of plays a key role in integrating and processing data from multiple sources across the franchise’s network.
Our team collects and manages data from various domains, including sales, logistics, and AI-driven models, ensuring seamless data flows and high-quality insights.
THE ROLE INVOLVES:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop data solutions that drive business value.
- Designing, implementing and maintaining data solutions.
- Collaborating with data analysts and data scientists.
- Designing and implementing data quality and governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy and reliability in the context of a data mesh architecture.
TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:
- Strong expertise in Python, PySpark & SQL
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL DB, and Azure Synapse
- Proficiency in designing efficient, robust, and automated data pipelines
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects (preferably GitHub Actions)
- Proven experience with code version control tools like GIT
- Ability to map business processes into data & analytics solutions
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data & Analytics services to build data pipelines, data streams, and system integrations
- Familiarity with preparing data for Data Science & Machine Learning applications
- Ability to evaluate business needs and align data solutions with stakeholder objectives
- Strong engagement with architects, data scientists, analysts, and peers
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior data engineers
